JUNE

The village hall, 1919. This is
Margaret’s domain and where
she meets Grace who knew
her brother during the Great
War. Fast forward to 2019, the
village hall has been Mirjana’s
solace since escaping the war
in Sarajevo.

Marking the centenary of the
end of World War I, two actors
dance you through a century
in Deirdre Kinahan’s new play
with live music, waltzing and
unexpected connections.

Dust the cobwebs from your
spooky costume and join all of
your zombie friends for a fun
Halloween Party in the Centre’s
top floor Function Hall. Strut
your scary stuff on the dance
floor with feel-good live music
from Spalding’s very own
Zebra, interspersed with
groovy monster disco sounds.
Party food included in ticket
price. Creepy cocktail themed
night in the bar. Proceeds to
Ella’s Project.

Martyn’s powerful and
sensitive singing has been an
inspiration to many. He has a
huge repertoire of traditional
songs but also champions
contemporary writers, such as
the late Graeme Miles. Much
of his material reflects his early
years in Australia, and his
Songlinks project drew on
the connections between
these songs and their
earlier British versions.
